Julianne made a motion to appoint Joanna Harris as VP. Jennifer second and the motion was approved.

Ed shared that question 1 on the ballot passed but question 2 did not.
There will be no meeting in December, the next meeting will be on Jan 3.

All Cookie Dough has been picked up. All prizes have been distributed. We think the kiddos kept them at school or lost them. We had 1 or 2 parents reach out, but that’s it.
At this point, we do not think a Spring Fundraiser is needed.
We had a discussion regarding doing a “movie in the park” type of get together in the Spring.
Ed is going to check the calendar for a Thursday in May that might work.
Joanna is going to reach out to the Lions regarding food and drink.
Julianne is going to do a little digging with regards to food trucks to see cost/availability.
Jessica is going to look into South Suburban Games.

2/28 Minutes were approved.
Culver’s has us down for Sunday, 3/20. We will still get the proceeds from 5-7. Joanna will handle 5/16.
Vicky Snyder from Basic Needs received a $10,000 grant and wants to donate school supplies to Pullman. Ed will meet with her at a separate time to discuss.
We will be combining Family Fun Night with the Global Arts Festival. This will split up the time so people can be in and out of the school.
● Date: 5/26 / time changed to 4:30-7 (food will be available at 5-7).
● Northwoods Food Truck / Mik Mart / Lions will be there with hot dogs.
● Planning for 200-300 people
● Ed has Corn Hole available for us to use
● Julianne will bring sidewalk chalk and Jenga
● No Inflatable obstacle course, this would cost too much and when we combine with the Global Arts Festival, we shouldn’t need it.

Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 2-6
● $800 in the budget
● Previously, the PTA had done something every day. Instead, we would like to do:
○ Monday: We “donut” know how you do it! ~$70
○ Gift: Lunch Box/cooler? <$10/person ($650). We will write out cards as well.
○ Julianne will post on FB asking parents to write “Thank you’s” to their teachers. The teachers want to be thanked by the parents, as well as the PTA. We will provide cards if parents want them.

Cookie Dough Fundraiser will kick off this week, but there are no prizes being provided. PTA discussed possible prizes that we could provide for top sellers. Decided that the top seller will receive a $50 gift card to Target. We will also be hosting pizza parties for the top K-2 classroom and the top 3-5 classroom with the most participation (# of kids) with a tie breaker being top dollars. Will provide around MEA.
Jessica confirmed PTA will provide $200 of Culver’s Ice-Cream for Curriculum Night on 4/22. Julianne will assist with distribution.
Culver’s Dates confirmed: 10/10, 12/12, 2/13, 4/10
There will be a Turkey Dinner in November, and a 5th grade dance in the spring. Looking into combining the Global Arts Festival with a “carnival” like event. Need to put something together to reach out to the parents to create a Planning Committee.
Julianne suggested we look into a Square, since Venmo and the K12 app isn't going to work. Joanna is researching.

Curriculum Night: Positive feedback regarding Culver’s. We had about 150 kids come!
Jessica encountered some issues with our Quickbooks account. She will re-vamp the budget format so we don’t have to pay the outrageous amount they asked for to renew. Budget will be voted on next meeting.
Cookie Dough Fundraiser was completed. Less money than last year, so we will have to discuss at a later date if a Spring Fundraiser is needed. Some thoughts around this is our account is pretty high,, so maybe we don’t need to this year.
Cookie dough pick up is November 3rd from 3:30-6 in the gym. Julianne and Jess to distribute.
Spring Carnival: Julianne to work on a flier to promote Planning Committee by next meeting.

It was decided that we will not meet in December. We will move the Jan meeting date back a week to Jan 9th and do it virtually.
We looked over the new reimbursement request form that Jessica had created for the teachers to use. There has been some confusion about their funds and the reimbursement process, so hopefully this will help.
Cookie dough: there was 1 missed order that was taken care of. Jessica to write a check. Tracy and Penny assisted with cookie dough prep. Juliane Wojcik, Joanna Harris and Erin Terry assisted with pick up.
Julianne to put in a “last call” for Spirit Wear on FB.
A “Fun Run” was discussed as a possible Spring Fundraiser. It will be added to the January agenda.
Jill expressed interest in being our Secretary in October, but was unable to attend the November meeting for a vote. We will vote on this at the meeting on 1/9.

Ed mentioned since minimal attendees were there, and the next meeting is scheduled for Spring Break week, that we could move the next meeting up a week for Feb 27. Julianne agreed and notified Joanna, Jill and Jess of this change.
We think the day of the Carnival will line up with the Global Arts Fest on May 18th. We will confirm this date and then Julianne will reach out to Northwoods and Mik Mart. Will Joanna reach out to Lions?

We discussed the Family Fun Night
Julianne to reach out to food trucks: Mik Mart, Mexican Carnaval (they will bring chips and cheese, and hot dogs for the kids), and Eggroll Queen will be there. Julianne to tell them they can start to set up around 4 to be ready by 4:30.
Jessica to coordinate the bouncy house/obstacle course. The event will be from 4:30 - 6:30. We are expecting about 600 people. We will also be bringing Jenga and other outdoor games.
Tracy was going to look into the Schoolie bus.
We might only need 4 volunteers. Julianne will put something on Facebook to see if anyone is interested in helping for even an hour or so.

Fundraiser: More information is coming right before the Holiday Break. Their team will come to us in January and educate/train the kids on how to promote during the first week of February.
Budget: We discussed keeping the same budget as last year. Summarized that the most significant expenditures will be transportation costs towards the end of the year. Jessica also reminded everyone that the teachers get $10/kid to spend on supplies for the classroom.
4th grade teachers said the kids really enjoyed the Field Trip to the MN History Museum! Jessica mentioned how they were able actually to explore because there weren't that many kids there. The teachers mentioned that the kids wanted to stay longer.

Culver’s Nights: 5/16: Joanna is going to assist
We will be combining Family Fun Night with the Global Arts Festival. This will split up the time so people can be in and out of the school.
● Date: 5/26 / time changed to 4:30-7 (food will be available at 5-7).
● Northwoods Food Truck / Mik Mart / Lions will be there with hot dogs.
● Planning for 200-300 people
● Ed has Corn Hole available for us to use
● Julianne will bring sidewalk chalk and Jenga
● No Inflatable obstacle course, this would cost too much and when we combine with the Global Arts Festival, we shouldn’t need it.
● Save the Dates/Fliers - Ed has offered to do these. We will help if needed!
● Jason suggested helium balloons as well (Green and Black)
● Spirit Wear Table?
5th Grade Dance will be on 5/6/22 from 5-7
● Pizza Hut
○ 30-40 pizzas. Start with 30, will call to get more if/when we run out
○ Will charge $2/slice or $3 for a slice and water
○ Need to buy water bottles, napkins, plates
● DJ - Jen found DJ for $350 - we will have the check for him that night.
Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 2-6
● $800 in the budget
● Previously, the PTA had done something every day. Instead, we would like to do:
○ Monday: We “donut” know how you do it! ~$70
○ Gift: Lunch Box/cooler? <$10/person ($650). We will write out cards as well.
○ Julianne will post on FB asking parents to write “Thank you’s” to their teachers. The teachers want to be thanked by the parents, as well as the PTA. We will provide cards if parents want them.
